ORLANDO, Fla. — Hello, friends, and happy Sunday from the PNC Championship! We dealt with a little rain in the morning, but it ended up being a beautiful day here. I was very excited to see that Steve and Izzi Stricker were paired up with Tiger and Charlie Woods because I am all-in on the Stricker family. When asked about any pet peeves he had on Saturday, Stricker laughed and mentioned that his decisions get overridden by the gals in his house a lot. Just when he got ready to give an example, his wife, Nicki, and daughter Bobbi yelled out to him that it wasn’t true. They seem to have so much fun together, and I had a blast watching them all interact on the course on Sunday.

More on the Strickers later. I headed straight for the range when I arrived on site at the PNC Championship, and a lot of the family interactions got me reflecting on why I love this event so much. I think that after such a tumultuous year in golf — from lawsuits to LIV to a merger — this family event is the perfect palate cleanser to prep for Christmas. Watching the Strickers laugh on the range, Sam Woods beam as she handed her dad his putter and Will McGee tear up because he just had the best day of his life with his mom was exactly what I needed. It got me excited to return to Rhode Island for Christmas this week and make memories with my own family. Not on national television, of course. Although I do think my siblings and I could hold our own on a reality TV show.

OK, back to the fun stuff!

Justin Thomas’ step-in caddie

It may not have been the weekend Justin Thomas had hoped for at the PNC Championship, but he had the perfect finish to his round on Sunday when he holed out from the bunker.

If you look closely, you’ll notice that JT doesn’t have his caddie, Jim “Bones” Mackay, on his bag there! Justin Thomas’ father-in-law stepped in for a few of the final holes at the Ritz Carlton Golf Club on Sunday. How fun (and hopefully not too nerve-wracking) is that?

Mike Thomas, Justin Thomas, and JT's father-in-law

It’s fun to see people who kind of fell into the lives of professional golfers get to be a part of the action. I bet Jillian Thomas’ father never imagined he’d end up looping in a professional golf tournament, and I can’t imagine that JT’s grandmother ever pictured herself hanging out with Tiger Woods on a Saturday afternoon like she did this week.

Annika Sorenstam and Will McGee’s emotional interview

I named 12-year-old Will McGee the official MVP of the PNC Championship on Friday, and I would like to take a moment to double-down on that take. It’s particularly fun to watch McGee play in the event because you can tell that this doesn’t feel normal for him. He knows it’s super cool that he’s playing in this event, and he definitely doesn’t take it for granted.

Him tearing up while reflecting on the week is the cutest thing ever. My 11-year-old sister would kill me for telling you all this, but she’s not a loyal reader of this column so I’m going to anyway: She sobbed at the Taylor Swift concert because she was just so excited to be there. And what a cool moment for Sorenstam! I hope they play in this event together until the end of time.

The Woods family

Sam Woods was on the bag for her dad again Sunday. Her job was a little more difficult than it was a day earlier — they took carts due to the weather on Saturday but were on foot for the final round. Tiger and Sam were the only Woods family members in Sunday red. Charlie did his own thing and went with navy pants and a maroon pullover.

I have no idea why Charlie Woods went with that color scheme, but I have my suspicions.

The Woodses went with chicken tenders and fries for lunch again. I’m very curious to learn how one ends up with a job that includes delivering chicken tenders and fries to a 15-time major champion on the golf course. Do you apply for that position on LinkedIn? If so, I’m interested.

I particularly enjoyed hearing Tiger reflect on his favorite parts of the week.

The Stricker family

OK, friends, bear with me here. The below image is definitely not the best photograph I’ve ever taken, but it’s definitely one of my favorites.

Steve and Bobbi Stricker, Tiger and Sam Woods
From left, Steve Stricker, Tiger Woods, Sam Woods and Bobbi Stricker Claire Rogers

Over on the left we’ve got Steve Stricker and Tiger Woods walking down the first fairway at the PNC Championship. And on the right we’ve got Sam Woods and Bobbi Stricker chatting as they caddie for their dads. How awesome is that? It’s like if the average “bring your kid to work day” was about 500 times cooler.

Izzi Stricker called it “nerve-wracking” to tee it up with Tiger on Sunday, but she hid it extremely well. No offense to Steve Stricker or the Woods boys, but Izzi Stricker was definitely the most fun golfer to watch in the group. She smoked her driver, stuck approach shots and drained a handful of putts.

Despite wearing horrible walking shoes, I found myself getting a little sad as I made my way to the 18th tee box with Team Woods and Team Stricker. I look forward to this event all year and it always goes by too fast. I had so much fun hanging out with other media members this week, catching up with caddies and watching my favorite players tee it up. It’s an event that always reminds me how lucky I am to be working in golf.

ORLANDO, Fla. — Hello, friends, and happy Saturday! I write to you all from a very rainy day here at the PNC Championship. Tee times were moved up to account for the weather this morning, and it varied from a light drizzle to a heavy pour throughout Team Woods’ and Team Thomas’ round. That didn’t keep the fans from coming out, and it definitely didn’t stop me from having an awesome day on the course. Shout out to my new rain jacket for keeping me dry out there.

Sam Woods the caddie!

I got to the course nice and early this morning to watch Tiger Woods warm up before his tee time. Side note: It’s a whole lot easier to wake up at 5 a.m. when you’re going to watch a 15-time major champion in person.

I was very pleasantly surprised when I walked over to the putting green, and Rob McNamara joked that he had been fired. “New caddie today!” he said. That’s right, folks — Sam Woods, Tiger’s daughter, made her debut on the bag today and it was so, so much fun to watch. With son Charlie Woods as Tiger’s partner, I can’t imagine how much fun it was for him to be out there with both of his kids today.

The last time we saw Sam was when she gave an incredible introduction for her dad when he was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2022.

Sam caught up with Justin Thomas on the range, who was asking her all about school and exams. Thomas reminisced on how waiting to get his high-school grades was “the worst.” Relatable!

Due to the rain, everyone in the field took carts. You might think that this would make Sam’s job easier, but I firmly disagree.

Sure, she may not have had to lug Tiger’s bag around for 18 holes, but she had to do something far more intimidating: drive a cart through a packed golf course on a wet, slippery day. As someone who gets nervous pulling into a parking spot when people are watching, I can’t imagine the pressure she felt weaving in and out of the ropes and on narrow pathways. Sam did a great job navigating the cart and pulling clubs for Tiger. I watched her crack a smile after Charlie reacted to a poor shot in the way only a big sister could. She looked down grinning when fans screamed, “We love you, Sam!” next to a tee box.

Tiger, Sam and Charlie Woods
Tiger, Sam and Charlie Woods Claire Rogers

After their round, I asked Tiger how Sam was on the bag, and he gave a glowing review.

“Sam was fantastic,” he said. “This is the first time she’s ever done this, so it couldn’t have been any more special for all of us. For me to have both my kids inside the ropes like this and participating and playing and being part of the game of golf like this, it couldn’t have been more special for me, and I know that we do this a lot at home, needle each other and have a great time. But it was more special to do it in a tournament like this.”

We’ve also seen some videos of Tiger looping for Charlie over the past few months, so I was curious how the 82-time PGA Tour winner is as a looper. Charlie’s review was positive, but not as positive as the one Tiger gave Sam.

“For Dad as a caddie, his reads are hook-bias,” he said, “and I don’t hook as much as he does. So all of my putts, I miss right. So I have to account for that.”

I think my favorite Sam Woods moment of the day came when she couldn’t help but chuckle when Tiger missed a putt. She and Charlie might be the only people on earth who can get away with that. Overall, I hope she had an awesome day hanging with her dad at work. Being out on the course definitely beats the times I played with the copy machine at my dad’s office.

Tiger’s golf game might be anything but normal, but it was extremely refreshing to watch him be normal with his kids. They ate chicken fingers and fries, made jokes and made the most of their day together despite the weather. It turns out that watching a really famous guy do really normal stuff with his kids is pretty entertaining.

The Thomas family stars

The trash talk was kept to a minimum on the course today, which I was definitely surprised by. I think the horrible weather made the energy in the Woods/Thomas group a little low today, but two members of the Thomas family were able to change that.

First up we have JT’s dog, Franklin. He came out to hang on the 16th green, and everyone in the group flocked toward him.

Next up we have JT’s grandma, who carted along for the whole round — and even got to meet Tiger!

Look how happy she was to meet him! I imagine that’s exactly how I looked when I met Tiger on Friday morning.

Lee Trevino’s advice for Charlie

It’s not every day an 84-year-old and a high school freshman get to yuck it up on the golf course, but Lee Trevino and Charlie Woods did just that on Friday morning at the PNC Championship. And he had some advice for Charlie.

“You got to leave the cell phone at home. … And you know what, don’t go out on the driving range and just start hitting balls just to be hitting balls. Work on something. … You gotta hit a shot. It doesn’t have to be a good shot.”

So basically, practice with intention. Great advice! After seeing Charlie’s recoil today, that’s what I plan to work on next time I hit the range.

Hello, friends, and welcome to my favorite week of the year: the PNC Championship.

This event is the perfect way to end the golfing year. It’s a feel-good family tournament that gives me (okay, and the rest of the golfing world) something to get excited for before Christmas, and it’s definitely one of the more laid-back tournaments from a coverage perspective. And it helps that the pros have their guards down, which makes for a lot of fun moments — including a few that we’ll get to shortly. I’ll be recapping each day here at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, so allow me to take you back to my arrival on Wednesday.

I flew from Boston to Orlando early on Wednesday morning, picked up my rental car and then (after Wawa lured me in for a quick lunch) headed straight for the course, where I was very pleasantly surprised to learn that our media center had been relocated to the J.W. Marriott. We were in a tent last year, which is a pretty typical tournament setup, but now I’m writing to you all from the finest media setup (non-Augusta National division) on the east coast. We’ve got fancy food, fancy coffee, and if you’re Jon Rahm, you’ll be happy to know we’ve got fancy bathrooms too.

Wednesday and Thursday at the PNC Championship kind of feel like the first few days of school. Only a handful of the pros have arrived for practice rounds, so there’s a good amount of downtime before the real work begins. Everyone’s in a great mood and happy to be on site, so there’s a lot of catching up that happens. The Woods boys didn’t arrive on site until this morning (Friday), and their absence was definitely felt.

My favorite Tiger friendship

You know who was out on the course early in the week, though? Annika Sorenstam’s son, Will McGee. He headed to the course right after school on Tuesday to get some practice in and ended up making a hole-in-one!

McGee’s week started off perfectly and it’s still going pretty well. He and Tiger warmed up together on the chipping green while the 15-time major champion queried McGee about his junior golf schedule. When Sorenstam came over to check on her son, she asked Tiger if McGee was listening to him. Tiger smiled and said, “Other way around. I’m listening to him!”

Woods and McGee continued their chat on the way to the practice bunker, like old pals. The Rogers Report is officially giving McGee the inside track for MVP of this event. Not only is he pals with the 82-time PGA Tour winner, he’s probably the most stylish guy on site, decked out in Greyson gear and sporting some very cool Air Jordan 11 CMFT Lows. During a backup on the 10th tee, McGee told Tiger he was nervous on the first tee today. Tiger told him that he should be nervous because it means he cares. As someone who isn’t particularly cool, who isn’t a good player and whose parent isn’t a professional golfer, I have just about nothing in common with Sorenstam’s son. But it’s still a whole lot of fun to watch him hang out with the Woods guys.

Tiger Woods and Will McGee

I saw Tiger greet a lot of people today — players and their families, caddies, media members and more — and I don’t think he lights up with any of them as much as he does when he sees Sorenstam. He exclaimed “Ani!” as he went in for a hug and asked her how she’s been.

Tiger imitates Steve Stricker

During his warm-ups, Tiger kind of holds office hours at the PNC Championship. He does his thing, and every few minutes someone will go up to him to say hi. He gave Steve Stricker a big hug while asking about his family. Two seconds later, Woods was mimicking Stricker’s swing in front of him and (I think?) purposely duffed a chip.

Tiger Woods and Steve Stricker

Also, I’d be remiss not to mention just how cool the Strickers are. Their whole family is involved this week. Steve and his daughter, Izzi, are teeing it up together while his other daughter, Bobbi, and his wife, Nikki are on caddie duty. Unfortunately, my siblings and I are not talented enough to have this sort of family outing together; what we do best as a group is stare at our individual phone screens.

Charlie and his caddie

The Woods guys did most of their warm-ups separately today. Charlie’s got his high school teammate and pal, Luke Wise, on his bag this week, and Rob McNamara is looping for Tiger again. Tiger put the staff bag away for the week, which is great news for McNamara. Luckily the rain held off during the Pro-Am, because McNamara said he made the game-time decision to leave the rain gear in the car today.

Tiger Woods with Charlie's caddie

I wonder what percent normal this feels for Wise this week. He probably spends a good amount of time with the Woods boys, but doing so on national television has to feel kind of crazy. For me, the weirdest thing about walking around with Tiger’s team is how normal it all feels. Rob McNamara is super kind, Charlie is extremely polite and everybody else is as welcoming as they come.

My absolute favorite thing about the PNC Championship is how we get to see Tiger’s personality a little bit more than usual. He had chicken tenders and fries for lunch all week at the 2022 PNC, and today was no different.

The 10th tee offers some of the best people-watching at the PNC thanks to the fact that there’s always a group or two waiting on the tee box. As a player that might be annoying, but as an onlooker, it’s perfect. Tiger chucked a piece of a chicken tender at Charlie while they waited, and they caught up with Sorenstam and Mcgee during that time as well.

I know they say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, so it shouldn’t be too surprising for you all to learn that Charlie was making the same type of jokes his dad makes on the course today.

Unlike last year, Tiger walked the whole round today, which allowed for us all to get a lot closer to him as he moved throughout the course. Close enough that I overheard him tell Charlie that he was going to give the people on television something to talk about before pulling out his driver to hit one off the deck.

Upon hearing that, Charlie said, “you’ve gotta be kidding me.” That’s a classic teenage response to a parent doing something embarrassing. I used to say the same thing when my parents forced me to take one more photo on Easter Sunday, cheered a little too loud at my high school basketball games or made one too many jokes in front of my friends. Charlie, I promise that people loved watching your dad hit it off the deck. I guess no parent is immune to getting that response from their high schooler.

Hello friends, and welcome to this week’s edition of the Rogers Report! I am very excited for the next few weeks. We’ve got the Grant Thornton Invitational this week, where PGA and LPGA Tour pros are teaming up and competing for equal prize money. Next week, I’ll head to the PNC Championship in Orlando and watch Tiger and Charlie Woods (and many others) tee it up, and then a week later it’s Christmas. It may be a slower time of the golf season, but my excitement is through the roof.

But before any of that can happen, let’s take a look at what’s happening right now in the golf space. I’d be remiss not to start off with this quote from our favorite 15-time major champion.

How about that? Congrats to my colleague, Dylan Dethier, for the lovely shoutout and affirmation. If I were him, I’d make that my alarm sound. And if you’re curious as to what Dylan’s “great question” (and Tiger’s response) was, here you go:

Q. Tiger, you mentioned protecting the integrity of the Tour and kind of what makes the Tour. I’m curious, like now we’re in this spot where you’ve sort of stripped it all back, everything’s potentially on the table. What is important about the PGA Tour? Like what is the bedrock of what makes professional golf valuable?

TIGER WOODS: “Well, I think — that’s a great question, Dylan. What we have to do is we have to make sure that we have access to the game. I had access to the game. I had an ability to get on Tour. We ensure that, and have — ensure that we protect our schedule, like I talked about earlier, and our Tour and take care of the players. Without the players, there is no Tour. How do we take care of them in a better way, not just financially. Obviously everyone wants to get paid, but how do we have the best competitive atmosphere and competitive events from week to week to week and what does that look like, and what does it look like for the players to have to be involved in that and what do they have to give up to have that and what are — like Bob was mentioning earlier — what are investors looking for to invest in our Tour.”

I would also like to take a moment to thank Jeff Eisenband, who put out what might be The Perfect Tweet on Sunday evening. My two worlds have officially collided and I couldn’t be happier.

Speaking of Taylor Swift, I did my best to explain all the things that are happening in golf right now using her songs.

Okay, on to the good stuff.

The most wholesome family in golf

On Sunday, Scottie and Meredith Scheffler proved once again that they are the most wholesome people on the planet.

Meredith might be the ultimate hype woman. Every time Scottie wins, we hear her telling her husband how proud she is. And then she embraces Scheffler’s caddie, Ted Scott, and tells him the exact same thing! I’d love for someone to stand over my shoulder and tell me how proud they are every time I hit “send Tweet” or “post to Instagram.” I’m sure my work performance would skyrocket.

Back to the wholesome content. Look how genuine Mr. and Mrs. Scheffler are in thanking Tiger for an amazing week!

Their whole squad went out to the Bahamas to support Scheffler, which made the win even more sweet.

And for the finale of wholesome-Scheffler content, I present to you this compilation of Scottie’s laughter.

Tiger’s return

Tiger played in a tournament for the first time since the Masters at the Hero, and I’ve handpicked some of my favorite moments from the week that I hope to remember for a while. We’ll start off with this video of Tiger and Justin Thomas making their way down the fairway, practicing their swings.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Men will practice their golf swing anywhere. It doesn’t matter if you’ve won multiple majors or if you haven’t broken 100. It’s like the male version of the Bechdel Test. Get a man together with some other guys and they will make some air swings. It doesn’t matter if they’re in an undersized New York City apartment, the sidelines of a basketball game or in the middle of a PGA Tour event. It’s gonna happen, and it was lovely to see Tiger and JT enjoying themselves while adhering to this phenomenon.

Next up we have the interaction between Tiger and his pal, the VP of TGR Ventures and caddie for the week, Rob McNamara. Yes, I miss seeing Joe LaCava on Tiger’s bag already. However, it must have been such a cool experience for McNamara to caddie for his good pal out there. And what’s better than lugging around a heavy Tour bag for an 82-time PGA Tour champion for 18 holes? Probably finishing and being able to relax for a bit. Lucky for us, we got to see Tiger and McNamara interact as soon as Round 1 was complete.

I’m also a big fan of this interaction that my colleague, Dylan Dethier, observed.

As someone who, due to extreme circumstances, had to caddie exactly one time in my life, I can very much relate to the whole “not reading a putt all day” thing. My abilities as a caddie include carrying the bag, minimal complaining, pulling pins and providing comedic relief when necessary. Getting yardages? Reading putts? Sure, I can do that, if you want to get bad information all day long. Rob McNamara is a man of the people who was called upon to work a dream job last week (read: a dream for many golf fans, but not for me. Tour bags look impossible to carry.). I’m grateful that it allowed Tiger to made a silly mid-round joke.

On to Sunday. Tiger was sporting a fitted sleeveless shirt, basketball shorts, a backpack and has a work uniform in hand. You can’t tell me you haven’t seen this exact scenario in the parking lot of your local Planet Fitness.

Of course, that’s somehow what makes it cool. He may look like the guy who sets off the Lunk Alarm too much at the gym, but it turns out, having 82-PGA Tour wins is a pretty good shield against it being cringey.

And finally, here’s some bonus content of Tiger from the Bridgestone Golf shoot a few weeks ago.

Spieth gets humbled

No one can humble you more than your own family. As someone who seems to be the easiest target when my siblings start roasting each other in the living room on holidays, I can speak from personal experience. And it seems that not even professional golfers are exempt from being brought back down to earth by relatives. Exhibit A: Jordan Spieth.

This is not a reflection on Sammy Spieth, who is obviously too young to understand that his dad is a famous golfer. Toddlers love to ask “why?” and Sammy did so at the perfect time, when his dad explained that someone requested an autograph.

Keep up the good work, Sammy. It’s your civic duty to keep your dad’s ego under control. Spieth seems like a great guy, so it shouldn’t be too much work.

The pros’ favorite coffee

Tiger shared his (very deluxe) coffee order with Golf Digest a few years ago, and I’ve wondered what kind of coffee other pros drink ever since.

You can learn a lot about a person on the golf course, but you can also learn a lot about them by what they order at the Starbucks drive-through.

Without further ado, here’s what the pros’ coffee orders say about them.

Will Zalatoris gets an iced shaken espresso. He likes the finer things in life and doesn’t care what anyone thinks. He’s not afraid to cry during a rom-com.

Scottie Scheffler makes his own coffee. He’s a wholesome, hard working guy who is stronger willed than I am, because I’d be hitting up Starbucks multiple times a day if I had as many wins as he does.

Max Homa doesn’t drink coffee, but picks up a tall vanilla oat milk latte (the best drink of all, by the way) for his wife, Lacey. He knows her exact order, which means he’s a great listener. Do you know how hard it can be to memorize somebody else’s coffee order? Especially when it’s all in Starbucks lingo? Homa also might be some sort of superhuman if he has a one-year-old and doesn’t drink coffee.

Keegan Bradley gets an iced coffee with a splash of skim milk with no sweetener. To the surprise of absolutely no one, he’s a no frills kind of guy! However, as a fellow New Englander, I would’ve loved a Dunkin shout out here.

Collin Morikawa gets what his wife, Kat, gets. A vanilla sweet cream cold brew. This means he, like Will Zalatoris, appreciates the finer things in life. And he likes to be pampered. So what?

Lucas Glover and Brian Harman drink black coffee. This is extremely unsurprising. This means that they’re simple guys. They don’t need much to be happy.

And finally, Rickie Fowler goes back and forth between an espresso over ice or an oat milk latte. He’s not afraid to shake up the status quo, and he knows when it’s time for work and time for play.

The diamond in the rough of rollback Tweets

Rollback this! Rollback that! It’s only been a few days and I’m already growing tired of all the stir this conversation has caused on social media.

It might be time to re-enforce a word count on Twitter. However, I’d go through all the extremely long posts again and again because my perusing brought me to something great. Rory McIlroy’s Twitter likes. He liked one post in particular that caught my eye. One on the magic of Christmas.

My attention span is about four seconds long on a good day so it definitely took some time for me to get through this post. But it’s all about the spirit of Christmas. One line reads, “You see, Santa Claus is THE IDEA OF GIVING FOR THE SAKE OF GIVING, without thought of thanks or acknowledgement.” What a nice sentiment that I’m glad McIlroy enjoyed. I’m glad to see that he is in the Christmas spirit!

Miscellaneous golf content

Min Woo Lee posted an awesome photo of himself on Instagram a few days ago, and it immediately reminded me of the iconic photo of Tiger at the 2010 Ryder Cup.

Such cool shots! Hopefully Lee’s photographer didn’t get hit. Next up we have Tom Brady, who is working on his game with GOLF Top 100 Teacher Matt Killen.

I wonder what it’s like when one of the best athletes of all time calls you up for help. Killen, if you’re reading this, please let me know.

Hello friends, and happy Tiger Woods Comeback Week to all who observe. The Hero World Challenge holds a special place in my heart because it gives us a fun photo of Tiger and Dr. Pawan Munjal every year.

I’m excited to share the 2023 version of the photo with you all here:

Tiger Woods at the Hero World Challenge

These photos are so awkward that they’re incredible. The annual holiday season gift that keeps on giving.

I spent Thanksgiving in Rhode Island, where my family teed it up in a Turkey Shootout (okay, the boys in my family played the full round, my sisters and I went home due to the cold after four holes) on Friday. The unexpected MVP of the day was my 11-year-old sister Madeleine, who hit a handful of stellar shots with my clubs before taking her talents back to our heated living room.

Her swing may be unconventional, but it definitely gets the job done. I won’t be commenting on the state of my game at this time.

Without further ado, let’s get into it.

Thanksgiving week

It wouldn’t be a proper Rogers Report without a brief update on how our favorite pros spent the holiday week. Let’s take a look, shall we?

We’ll start out with Jessica Korda, who has a lot to celebrate these days. Alison Lee, Megan Khang, Lydia Ko and of course her sister, Nelly, joined Korda for a baby shower. Allison Stokke Fowler, Maya Schauffele, Jillian Thomas and Nikki Guidish were also in attendance.

I have a feeling that baby has already overheard a lot of golf talk and will be ready to hold a club in no time.

Next up we have Dustin Johnson, who remains as unbothered as ever.

May we all spend our days off as relaxed at DJ is on that boat. And finally we have the Koepkas, who hosted on Thanksgiving.

As someone who ate their meal at the makeshift kids table, I’m very jealous of that set up.

Max Homa chirps Tiger

It has been very fun to live vicariously through Max Homa as his friendship with Tiger Woods has come to life. Not too long ago he was just a tweeter (like me!) and an incredible golfer (not like me…) with a dream. From posting about Woods to winning his tournament to teeing it up alongside him at the Old Course in 2022, I thought Homa had just about done it all in terms of their friendship. I was mistaken.

Homa had not yet had the opportunity to dunk (in a friendly manner, of course) on the 82-time PGA Tour winner. When asked to name as many of Tiger’s wins as he could, Homa led off with “not Riviera.”

Talk about being quick on your feet! A friendship doesn’t truly begin until you can poke a little fun. Congrats to Homa for reaching that crucial step with his friend Tiger tWoods.

Min Woo Lee’s clapback

Just for a moment, let’s put aside the fact that Club Pro Guy is a parody account. I say this only because I don’t think Min Woo Lee was aware of that when he tweeted the following after wining the Australian PGA Championship on Sunday.

Side note: if you’re not following Lee on Instagram, you’re missing out. Of all the pros on social media, he’s the one who utilizes it the most. He even has a broadcast channel on Instagram where he chats to his followers.

Anyway, back to the clapback at hand. After Lee’s win, there was some discourse surrounding his swing online, and Club Pro Guy made a joke about Lee’s move. Lee either a) doesn’t realize Club Pro Guy’s entire account consist of sarcasm or b) realized it and didn’t care, and came up with the perfect response to the critic.

Mic Drop. The perfect reply! I’ve been advised not to interact with my critics on the internet, but if I had a massive trophy in my hands, you can bet I’d be all up in those replies.

Hello, friends, and welcome back to the Rogers Report. I’ve been on the road a lot since the Ryder Cup, so I’m going to do things a little differently today and give you the run down on my last two trips. I spent Saturday night in New York City for the grand opening of T-Squared Social, Tiger Woods and Justin Timberlake’s new sports bar. From there, I headed to Pebble Beach for TaylorMade’s 100 Hole Hike to benefit Youth on Course. Let’s dig into it!

T-Squared Social

My coworker Emma and I took the Amtrak from Boston to Manhattan on Saturday to head to the opening of T-Squared Social. (Side note: I have no idea when they started assigning seats on the train, but I don’t like it. Why do I have to sit next to someone when 90 percent of the train car is empty?) We dropped our stuff at the hotel, took the subway to Grand Central and then made the 90-second walk over to T-Squared.

The funniest thing about going to events as media is watching them search for a name that isn’t on the fancy guest list when you arrive. And just as you start to get really anxious about it, somebody else says “Oh, she’s media,” and suddenly you’re safe. Once that happened, I took a lap of the whole place, which took a while not only because it was extremely crowded, but because the length of T-Squared Social is an entire city block. There are actually two entrances — one on 42nd Street and one on 43rd.

The place is full of activities. Four duckpin bowling lanes, simulators, darts, a luxurious dining area and massive televisions to watch sports. College football was on during the event, but I think it’ll be a prime spot to watch the majors in 2024.

I think I hold some sort of record for the amount of time I’ve spent near Tiger without actually meeting him. I’ve asked him questions in press conferences, said hi in passing at events, but I’ve never had a real introduction. This theme continued on Saturday, although I did get to catch up with a few members of his team. Woods and Timberlake — who is a partner at 8AM Golf, which is also the holding company behind GOLF.com — were in their own VIP sections. (Not sure why I didn’t get the invite into that area. Don’t they know who I am?!) I’m also convinced they coordinated their outfits because they were both in black button-down shirts.

Check out my recap of the event below!

My lovely coworker and pal, James Colgan, was at T-Squared Social a few weeks ago, so you can check out this video for another look at the space.

I ended my night in New York at my favorite ice cream place in the world: Caffe Panna. If you are ever in the area, please do yourself a favor and get yourself a scoop or two here.

TaylorMade’s 100-Hole Hike

My time in New York was great, but it came to an end when I headed to the airport early on Sunday morning to fly to California.

I’m not sure that flying into San Francisco and then driving two hours is the most efficient way of getting to Pebble Beach, but I will do just about anything to avoid taking a connecting flight. Also, I collect Delta miles for sport, so this worked out perfectly. I arrived just before noon, stopped for some lunch and drove through Stanford University on my way to Pebble.

TaylorMade was hosting a 100-Hole Hike for Youth on Course at The Hay at Pebble Beach. I was on social coverage for GOLF and got to hang out at an awesome event on a perfect day. Michael Block, JR Smith, Courtney Lee, Riggs, Stephen Malbon, Chad Mumm and Aaron Beverly were some of the people teeing it up in the event. We stayed at the lodge, had great meals, raised money for an awesome cause and had a blast hanging out. I even filmed an episode of The Scoop while we were there! And don’t sleep on the Pebble Beach Market, you guys. They’ve got some wild ice cream flavors.

But one of my favorite parts of the day was when a handful of kids from Youth on Course came out to play The Hay. And folks, these kids are really, really good players.

Oh, and I saw Block make a hole-in-one! So you could say it was a successful day.

And shout out to Full Swing‘s Chad Mumm, who let me use his clubs to hit a handful of shots throughout the day, none of which ended up close to the hole.

If you ever get the chance to participate in a 100-Hole Hike for Youth on Course, take it. I had such a great time and met a ton of new people, all while raising money for kids.

And finally, I had to check a single golf club on my flight back to Boston, and my new TaylorMade 52-degree wedge lived to tell the tale!

Hello friends, and welcome back to the Rogers Report! Between going to the Patriots game with my dad on Sunday (which was a loss for the team, but a win for me in terms of being the favorite child) and a TGL event at Fenway with David Ortiz and Pedro Martinez on Monday, I am feeling very in tune with the Boston sports world right now.

Shout out to The Golf Shop of St. Andrews, where I purchased my sweatshirt a few weeks ago. If it looks familiar, here’s why.

Okay, on to more pressing news.

Boston Common Golf event

As a Boston gal, I was very bummed when the Playoff event at TPC Boston was taken off the schedule. I grew up going to the tournament with my junior golf friends and our head pro, and continued to go every year throughout college. I looked forward to the U.S. Open at The Country Club for years, and was bummed when it was over because I thought it meant that professional golf wouldn’t be back in the area for quite some time.

I’m definitely still learning the ins and the outs of the TGL, but I was very excited to see the Boston Common Golf team at some local spots Monday. I attended their press conference in the morning, where the players talked about the league and their schedule, and Keegan Bradley shared just how excited he is to represent his favorite city.

As someone who grew up going to Fenway Park, it was cool to see the players take in one of my favorite spots — one from where I have lots of memories.

I’m sure their tour of Fenway was great, but I can’t help but think that my personal anecdotes would’ve added a nice touch to their time there. Oh well.

On Monday evening, I attended a launch party back at Fenway. Kira Dixon hosted a panel, and David Ortiz and Pedro Martinez kept everyone on their toes. When asked about his golf game, Ortiz said, “You want to know the last time I played 18 holes? Never.” Martinez talked to Adam Scott, Rory McIlroy, Tyrrell Hatton and Keegan Bradley about Boston sports fans, and he danced all around the stage and told Hatton that he reminded him of his old teammate, Dustin Pedroia. Martinez then said he’d call Hatton “Pee Wee,” because that’s what he called the second baseman.

I got to catch up with McIlroy for a few minutes, and from one Irish person to another, I welcomed him to Boston with open arms. His initiation to Beantown will be complete when he gets screamed at by a local for taking too long to order Dunkin Donuts.

Also, I hit a few golf balls via VR for the first time last night and I am all in on it.

Tiger Woods the caddie

Our favorite 15-time major champion was on the bag for his son, Charlie, at the Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship in Louisiana over the weekend. And he looked great.

Listen, I may not know much about the technicalities of the golf swing. But I do know a thing or two about walking. As someone who has been putting one foot in front of the other for almost 29 years, I can confidently say that Tiger is doing it well here.

If I didn’t know any better, I would think this is the stride of a man who hasn’t had to go under the knife multiple times for his leg and ankle. And most important, he looks a lot more comfortable than he did at the Masters. It was hard not to wince watching him take on the fairways at Augusta, so this seems like a lot of progress. I’m happy for him! And happy for Charlie, too, of course. As for the kids in their group at the tournament, I cannot imagine what it’s like teeing it up in front of an 82-time PGA Tour winner.

Charlie, I hope your dad’s yardages were correct and that he grabbed all the pins for you over the weekend.

And folks, just as I’m writing this we have an update from the looper himself…

No pain! That is superb news.

The Homas and Thomas’ safari

Justin Thomas, Max Homa and their better halves are making the most of their time off. The squad took a trip to Madikwe Reserve in South Africa to check out the wildlife, and it looked like the trip of a lifetime.

Justin Thomas even tried his hand at some on-site reporting. Watch out, Smylie Kaufman. He could be coming for your job.

I know he was looking at the animals, but Thomas has the old man golf spectator look down. Just look at that focus and stance!

A Ryder Cup party at the Donalds

The Ryder Cup may be over, but the celebrations are definitely not. The Donald family hosted a victory party at their Florida home over the weekend, and there was quite the turnout. My invite must have gotten lost in the mail, but I still hope everyone who attended had an awesome time.

First off, let’s take a look at that cake. Props to the baker who put that together. I struggle with the instructions on the Betty Crocker cake mix boxes, so I have massive respect for the talent that takes.

The Donald's Ryder Cup party
The Donald’s Ryder Cup party Diane Donald

Friendly PSA: If you are not following Diane Donald on Instagram, that needs to change right now. She is one of my favorite people on the app. You know how the moms in your life are constantly uploading pictures to Facebook? That’s how Diane Donald is with her Instagram stories. As the captain’s wife, she provided a ton of cool behind-the-scenes content from the Ryder Cup.

My favorite photo she shared from the party is the following one of Viktor Hovland with two of her daughters and their friends.

Viktor Hovland with two of Luke Donald's daughters

I feel like I know how this went. The gals wanted a picture with Viktor, but were maybe too scared to ask. So Diane facilitated it, and the girls were kind of mortified while it was going on. But the second it was over, they were desperate to get their hands on that photo. Gals, take it from me. I’ve been there. And this will continue to happen for a long time. And in 15 or so years, you will still be talking about this photo.

Okay, folks. What I’m about to show you next is one of the most shocking things to appear in the Rogers Report. Nothing could have prepared me for it.

U.S. Ryder Cup team snub Keegan Bradley was in attendance at the European team’s victory party. I had to play Diane Donald’s Instagram reel a second time to make sure I could believe my eyes. I am desperate to learn how this went down. Is Bradley switching loyalties? Does he live in the neighborhood? What did Luke’s text inviting him to this party look like? All I know for sure is that he still hasn’t unpacked that darn suitcase from 2012.

The Finaus head to Cabo

The Finaus, their family and friends headed to Cabo last week for what I can only suspect was a vow renewal celebration. I’ve looked at the Instagram posts, screenshotted the stories and done some other general sleuthing. They never really named exactly what they were celebrating, but there was a ceremony and a reception so I have to assume they were celebrating their marriage. And it looked like an absolute blast.

Besides the main event, the Finau family had spa days, pool parties, dance parties on a boat and putting competitions.

It’s hard not to have fun when you’ve got a huge family. But this has inspired me to inform my family that we need to bring our celebrations to the next level. Hanging out in the living room with football on in the background simply isn’t going to cut it anymore.

Hello folks, and welcome back to the Rogers Report! Between keeping up on all things Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, the pros’ Halloween costumes and, oh yeah, an incredible trip to St. Andrews (more on that coming soon!), I’ve been busy lately. But definitely not as busy as the Davis family.

Anna and Billy Davis

Nelly and Jessica Korda. Minjee and Min Woo Lee. Brooks and Chase Koepka. Move over, overachieving golf siblings, there’s another duo in town. And they’re twins. Surely, you remember Anna Davis, the teenage phenom who won the 2022 Augusta National Women’s Amateur in a bucket hat.

Anna’s twin brother, Billy, Monday-qualified for the World Wide Technology Championship and is making his Tour debut this week. It’s good to see him keeping up with his twin sister, who made her LPGA Tour debut last year. And here’s your friendly reminder that the Davis twins are just 17 years old.

The sibs both played in the Junior Ryder Cup in Italy earlier this fall.

What’s in the water at the Davis household? And how can I get some of it to the Rogers household ASAP? We’re playing in a Turkey Shootout the day before Thanksgiving, and we need all the help we can get.

Halloween costumes

Halloween has come and gone, but the social posts of golf fans and professional golfers in costumes will live forever. Let’s start out with some fan favorites. I’ve put Patrick Mahomes in this category because although he’s a professional athlete, he’s not a professional golfer. Also, he’s a fan of golf and dressed accordingly on Halloween so that’s how I landed here. Anyway, I adore this family costume. You can’t go wrong with the Masters caddie look. It’s sleek, easy enough and the personalized bags and flag on his new backyard par-3 are an incredible touch. Extra points to the Patrick and Brittany for their Masters-green shoes

Next up we have the two most adorable costumes I came across during my Halloween scrolling.

And to round up the fan portion of this segment, check out these creative costumes.

I have to assume this guy went into the Masters with his Halloween costume in mind. Extra points for thinking six months ahead. Casual golf fans might simply think he dressed up as a patron, but the real ones know about the gnome, and just how quickly they fly off the shelves at the Merchandise Shop at Augusta National.

Finally, shout out to this Max Homa (and GOLF) fan who perfectly executed our recent cover with him.

The beard. The logo placements. It’s all perfect.

Finally, we have a gal who perfectly replicated Min Woo Lee’s Masters invitation post. There’s nothing I love more than a niche Halloween costume, and you have to be an extremely active on golf social media to even think of this costume.

Okay, on to the pros. Before we get into who wore what this year, let’s take a moment to appreciate Tiger Woods and how he celebrated Halloween in 1998.

I simply cannot wrap my mind around this. The closest thing I can compare this to is guys going all out on the first tee at the Zurich Classic, or the time Justin Thomas made Kevin Kisner wear an Alabama jersey at the Sony Open. The fact that Tiger was willing to do this is mind-boggling, although maybe I shouldn’t be too surprised after seeing his Mac Daddy Santa costume a few years ago. Either way, I’m extremely happy that video footage of this exists.

Next up we have Xander Schauffele, who had a joined Halloween birthday party with his brother, Nico.

The Schauffele brothers' Halloween birthday party
The Schauffele brothers’ Halloween birthday party. Maya Schauffele

It’s safe to say they went all out. Also in the mix: Jena Sims and Brooks Koepka, who celebrated their first Halloween as parents, which allowed for the perfect costume.

Speaking of having kids, there’s nothing like having a big family to really go all-out with on Halloween, which is exactly what the Finau family did with their Power Rangers costumes.

The Finau family on Halloween
The Finau family on Halloween. Finau Fresh on Instagram

The only thing more impressive than Layna and Tony getting all five kids in costume and ready for that photo shoot is the fact that Tony Finau was absolutely striping it on the simulator on the same day.

It’s not often that we get to see Finau’s full backswing, so this was quite the Halloween treat. The Kaufmans, Horschels, Lowrys, Homas and Donalds (whose love for matching family costumes is documented here) all had spectacular Halloween ‘fits as well.

Camilo Villegas’ son even got his hands on the Ryder Cup on Halloween.

I’d like to preface what I’m about to say with the fact that these families all did great on Halloween. The costumes are great, and I’m sure everyone had fun. That’s what matters most. It’s not a contest. But if it was, the Hadwin family would blow everyone out of the water. They reenacted the scene from Sunday at the Canadian Open when Adam Hadwin was mistaken for a fan and was tackled to the ground by a security guard as he approached his pal Nick Taylor after his win.

Here’s the moment again if any of you forgot.

I’d expect nothing less from Jessica Hadwin, the funniest golf gal on the internet.

Finally, Jon Rahm wasn’t technically in costume, but he did show up to the World Series to throw out the first pitch in his green jacket, and unfortunately for the rest of us, a real green jacket beats any and every other costume on Halloween.

Shipping up to Boston

I’m still learning all about the TGL, but my interest was piqued when I saw that the Boston team roster was released. As a gal who lives in Boston and went to school here, I’m very excited that some of my favorite golfers will be representing this city.

As I watched this announcement video, I was stopped in my tracks at the 49-second mark. Did this hype video just give us a glimpse into Rory’s trophy room? Let’s take a look.

Rory McIlroy in a TGL announcement video

As far as home decor goes, this room is pretty great. We’ve got a pool table, the Dubai Desert Classic trophy in the window, a couple Jack Nicklaus Player of the Year trophies and a whole lot more as well. It looks like it could serve as a golf-trophy version of the game “Guess Who?”

Hello friends, and happy Thursday from Marco Simone! My spirits are extremely high after the Lazio vs. Torino Serie A soccer game last night, which I followed up with some gelato!

While those two things definitely have me feeling good, 95 percent of my good vibes have to be attributed to the fact that the Ryder Cup gala was on Wednesday night. I’d be lying if I said I haven’t been looking forward to this event for months. And to clarify, I wasn’t even there. It truly is my version of the Met Gala.

They (I’m not really sure who “they” are here, to be honest) shut down the Spanish steps on Wednesday night and turned them into the Ryder Cup’s very own red carpet. After that, the players and their gals headed into town for dinner.

All right, now for what you’ve all been waiting for: the photos from the evening. I searched high and low for the best content from the night so you, my dear readers, can take it all in here in one place.

European Team

It’s only fair that we start off with European Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald. Apparently his wife, Diane, organized the whole evening, which is no small feat! I think the biggest event I’ve organized is having like, two friends over for dinner.

Diane Donald always brings things to the next level. She’s even rocking European Team Ryder Cup pajamas this week!

Ludvig Aberg

Ludvig Aberg was playing in college golf events six months ago, and this week he’s teeing it up on one of golf’s biggest stages. He seems to be adjusting to this whole fame thing pretty well, and he and Olivia Peet looked dapper as they took on the Spanish steps. While other kids their age are heading to college formals, these two are kicking it with the world’s best golfers! Not a bad deal.

Matt Fitzpatrick

Matt Fitzpatrick and Katherine Gaal got engaged in Bay Head, N.J., earlier this month, so this gala (which technically wasn’t a gala, but for lack of a better term that’s what I’ll call it here) was a debut of sorts for the fiancees. And Gaal even wore white! How fitting.

Also, can we take a moment to appreciate how great these professional photos are? My friends really need to step up their Instagram-taking game for me.

Tommy Fleetwood

Tommy and Clare Fleetwood had two big days in a row here at the Ryder Cup. Wednesday evening they got all dressed up, and Thursday was their son Frankie’s sixth birthday.

You may remember how Frankie stole the show at the Masters Par 3 Contest a few years back. Thursday at Marco Simone was no different.

How cute is that? Heading into work with your dad might not be an ideal way for most kids to spend their sixth birthday, but it’s probably pretty great if your dad is on the Ryder Cup team.

Tyrrell Hatton

The Hattons had their own moment on the Spanish stairs, but they also invited Viktor Hovland to walk down with them, which was so, so wholesome.

Any picture that includes Viktor Hovland laughing is great for the soul.

Nicolai Hojgaard

Nicolai Hojgaard may be 22, but this photo is giving serious “heading to prom!” vibes in the best way possible. Look at those happy kids! I like to think this has been posted on their parents’ Facebooks.

Viktor Hovland

On to Viktor Hovland, who may be single but definitely did not arrive alone. He rolled in hand-in-hand with Jose Maria Olazabal, and the two of them stole the show.

Shane Lowry

Shane Lowry arrived with his wife, Wendy, who has become an MVP of Ryder Cup content this week on Instagram. Wendy, if you are reading this: thank you for making my job (okay, social media perusing) a lot easier.

Robert MacIntyre

Rory McIlroy

Okay folks. It’s time. By the power bestowed upon me, I hereby crown Rory and Erica McIlroy the king and queen of the Ryder Cup gala. They look like movie stars!

Fans were going nuts for these two as they walked through town to head to dinner. Also, it kind of looks like Rory is campaigning? Or maybe he’s giving Pope energy? These photos make it look like he’s two steps away from blessing babies in the street.

I won’t lie, as great as this all looks, the whole thing seems very overwhelming.

Jon Rahm

On to our 2023 Masters champion! John and Kelley Rahm killed it.

Her little basket of flowers there does kind of look like a bucket of range balls, which likely wasn’t on purpose, but was definitely very fitting for the occasion.

I need to know where these gals are finding their dresses, because my Abercrombie ones simply aren’t cutting it anymore.

American Team

Zach Johnson

Okay, on to the American team. Shout out to Kim Johnson for sporting a patriotic color and to Zach for cleaning up well. I saw him sporting shorts with some pretty high Ryder Cup socks earlier in the week, which he decided to ditch for a night out on the town.

Actually, all the guys on the U.S. team ditched their socks on Wednesday night.

Can we take a second to look at those sock tans? My goodness.

Sam Burns, Brian Harman

Okay, Getty unfortunately did not provide couples pictures for the American team the way they did for the Europeans. Worry not, I can work with what I’ve got.

Brian Harman’s wife, Kelly Van Skyke, wasn’t at the Open when Harman won in July, so Wednesday evening was sort of her “hello, world” in the golf spotlight. Sam Burns’ mullet somehow seemed to work in a formal setting as well, which I was very pleasantly surprised by.

Xander Schauffele

Xander Schauffele looked a lot more relaxed on the Spanish steps than he did when I interrogated him about the Ryder Cup and more a few weeks ago.

Scottie Scheffler

The first couple of golf looked fabulous on Wednesday night, and Scheffler snapped some photos of his own.

I love that he took some solo shots of Meredith, but I do worry a little bit about his technique here. He’s much taller than her and leaning back to take the photo. Is he photographing her from the neck up? The dress deserves to be photographed, too!

I’d love to see how these photos came out. And in the meantime, if you are a professional golfer in need of an Instagram-taking lesson, hit me up. I can help you take your skills to the next level (my references here include my father, who I dragged over to a golf course with a camera in March of 2017 to teach him how to correctly take great photos before we headed to the Masters together a month later).

Jordan Spieth

Annie Spieth had a baby a few weeks ago, so she didn’t make the trip to Rome this week. Worry not, because we still got some photos of Jordan doing his thing.

And like any good friend should, Spieth made sure to get some photos of his pals Justin and Jillian. He seems to be taking some good pictures — he’s got the Thomases in the foreground of the photo with the camera tilted up just a bit in order to capture the scenery as well.

If Spieth ever explores a career change, he should look into photography.

As for Annie, she was involved in the gala thanks to some creativity from the fellow U.S. Ryder Cup team wives who photoshopped her into a photo.

Justin Thomas

The thing about the Ryder Cup gala is that there’s always going to be a meme that comes out of it. In 2018, it was Dustin and Paulina. This year, we have Justin and Jillian Thomas to thank for taking over.

What a night! I’m already excited for the 2025 Ryder Cup gala in New York.

Hello friends, and happy Wednesday from Marco Simone! It’s been another very hot day here outside Rome, but that didn’t stop me (or any of the fans) from taking on the course. I’m heading into Rome tonight for the Lazio vs. Torino Serie A soccer (or as I like to call it while in Italy, calcio) match this evening, which I am very excited about. This will be my first soccer game since I played on the Wheeler School’s “C” Team in the sixth grade, so it’s safe to say it’s been a while since I’ve watched the sport. Also, I regret to inform you all I have not hit up any gelato spots here yet, which I’m really hoping changes before the next time I check in with you all.

Okay, on to the good stuff.

The celebrity Ryder Cup

My main goal today was to follow the All Star Match at Marco Simone, aka the celebrity matches. Colin Montgomerie and Corey Pavin captained the teams, and the squads had some serious celebrity depth. Novak Djokovic, Gareth Bale, Kathryn Newton, Carlos Sainz and Victor Cruz are a handful of the players who we watched tee it up. Folks, I watched Kathryn Newton play in the 8AM Invitational at Wynn Las Vegas and she has some serious game. She got crowd going before she smoked her first tee shot down the middle of the fairway in front of a few thousand people at Marco Simone today.

After Newton teed off, I caught up with Djokovic’s group. I’ve never seen fans swarm a celebrity like this before. When he hit over the green on the 15th hole, he lost all personal space as fans shoved cameras in his face and demanded photos. His patience was unmatched and he handled it like a total pro. I cannot say I would have been able to do the same.

Also, check out that golf bag. I was disappointed when he didn’t hit the ball with one of those tennis rackets all day.

More from the U.S. Team’s significant others

Last night, I wrote about the wives of Team USA heading on a Roman excursion, which I have a few more details on (thanks once again to social media.) Just this morning, I learned that U.S. Ryder Cup captain Zach Johnson’s wife is public on Instagram, which is huge for the program. We now have yet another Ryder-Cup insider sharing what they’re up to with the world this week. To Kim Johnson, Lacey Homa and Jena Sims: your work does not go unnoticed.

Anyway, Kim Johnson shared a few Ryder Cup highlight reels that I’m excited to share with you all. Check out that “Captain’s wife” jean jacket! That thing puts all those “Future Mrs. (Insert fiance’s last name here)” jackets that gals wear when they get engaged to shame.

The European Team wives step out

As great as it must be to tee it up on a Ryder Cup team, I honestly think it might be better to be the significant other of someone who does. You get to dress well, explore a new area and get treated like royalty without the pressure of playing good golf. As a high handicapper, that sounds like a dream to me! Thanks to social media, I’ve been able to piece together what the better halves of the European Team have been up to over the last couple of days.

It’s not a trip to Rome without checking out the hottest tourism spots, so that’s what they started with. Props to them for looking like a million bucks in the 85-degree heat here. I haven’t quite figured out how to make that work yet.

U.S. Team date night

The American squad had a team date night on Tuesday evening, which served as the perfect warm-up for Wednesday night’s gala (or as I like to call it, my Super Bowl). Phillip Phillips performed at the event as well. Nothing like dinner and a private concert!

Anyway, here are some photos from the night.
