“It’s always striking, on Saturday too, but for sure Sunday, that feeling of the range emptying out,” said GOLF’s Dylan Dethier on Sunday at Oak Hill’s empty practice area. “Just knowing that there’s no other guys left.”
Such is the Sunday afternoon reality at a major championship, and it turns out Oak Hill was no exception. At 2:22 p.m. local time, Viktor Hovland and Brooks Koepka vacated the practice area for the last time to head to the tee for what promised to be an exciting final-round duel.
The GOLF.com crew was on the scene for a thrilling final day at Oak Hill, where Koepka claimed his fifth career major championship.
What was is like to watch the aftermath of Koepka’s victory?
